Extra Help and Teacher Schedule

You are encouraged to come for help as needed.  Some of you who have always done well in mathematics in the past may feel that coming for help is the mark of a weak student.  Quite the contrary, it is the mark of a strong student who cares about excelling.  If it is a matter of pride for you that you have never needed help before, grow up!  You will find the problems in this course very challenging.  I am here to help.

You may meet with me during DC Time without making an appointment.  Just stop by Rm 104 where I hang out.  Meeting with me during a study hall is better for extended help, but a prior appointment is necessary.  To make an appointment, you may see me at school or send me an e-mail at pahlborn@dccs.org.  I normally check my e-mail every evening around 9:00.  When I confirm the appointment, I will give you the location where we can meet.  If your schedule and mine do not have any mutually free periods, you may make an after-school appointment.  If you have been absent from class, you must bring to the help session a copy of the missed notes - either copied from another student who was present, or downloaded off the internet.  If several of you are going to miss the same class for a school activity, I am happy to conduct an afterschool "class" to reteach the lesson at a time that is mutually convenient for the group.
